Pencil Bench

I’m curious how this concept came into fruition, whatever there having I wants :). The Pencil Bench is the creation from a single conversation, seeing if one could take an everyday office object and somehow incorporate that into a piece of furniture. Once all the dust settled this is what came of it, 1600 pencils individually spring loaded, I’m assuming this is so the pencils don’t riddle your bum with dots, and if you happen to need something to write with, take your pick out of the 1600 interchangeable pencils, so if you happen to break one while sitting on it, no worries, it can be replaced. Best of show at Cornwall design week 2007.
